Friends of the Farm Annual Plant Sale

Sunday, May 14, 8 am to 1 pm

Parking Lot of Neatby Building

960 Carling Avenue at Maple Drive (just east of the Civic Hospital), Ottawa

Beaux Arbres joins with more than 30 other vendors for the most exciting horticultural event in Ottawa. We will be bringing a large array of early spring bloomers to our kiosk. You can also pre-order plants for pick-up at this event. Our first Plant Availability list will be published on the website around May 1st.

Eganville Plant Orders

Tuesday, May 23, 6 to 8 pm

We will be distributing pre-paid orders from a driveway in central Eganville.

From time to time, we receive enquiries about whether we do deliveries to places as far afield as Cornwall, Montreal, and Barry’s Bay. We always say “Yes, if you can make it worth our while – get together with your friends and neighbours and do a combined order”. This very seldom happens. So, if you garden in Barry’s Bay or Golden Lake, Pembroke or Eganville, and don’t expect to be able to get across the Ottawa River to visit the Beaux Arbres farm this spring, this order distribution event is a great opportunity to order plants and pick them up at a closer location. Orders can be large or small – there is no minimum order size for this event. I will be posting a Plant Availability list with more details on or about May 17th. Please use the Follow button in the lower right hand corner of the screen to get email notification of new Plant Availability posts.

OHA Convention Marketplace

Friday, July 21st and Saturday, July 22nd, 8 am to 5 pm

Ontario Horticultural Association 115th Convention, Brookstreet Hotel, 525 Legget Drive, Kanata

The AGM and educational sessions are restricted to delegates and registered attendees (a good reason to join your local Horticultural Society) but the Marketplace in the hotel foyer is open to the public. There will be an exciting array of horticulturally-themed vendors, including Beaux Arbres – I will post a list when it has been firmed up.

      1. Hi Brenda, We hope to do so, yes. However, because the booths are spaced out more than usual this year, we may not get a space. As a Daily (Occasional) vendor, we are not given highest priority. If we do not get a space, we will distribute pre-paid orders form our west-end condo parking lot, as we did last year. If we are at the market we will bring in orders and have some spring flowers to buy there.

    1. The Market Manager was going to let me know of any cancellations by Monday, May 3rd. I haven’t heard from her, so we are going with the Parking Lot distribution point plan.

    2. Hello Trish

      Do you ship plant material?
I left the “big smoke”, and High Park, and am down in Norfolk Co. in the heart of Carolinian Canada.

      1. I won’t know what winter losses I have had until I can assess what is and is not starting into growth. I expect to have my first Plant Availability list published on the web site on or about the first of May. You can start to send me Wish Lists in mid-April. To keep up-to-date on Plant Availability, use the Follow feature in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
