Height: Tall

Season of bloom: Summer.

Growing Conditions: Sun or part sun. Ideally, moist soil but very adaptable. Spreads by rhizomes.

Wildlife benefits: Food plant for the loveliest of native beetles, the iridescent Dogbane Beetle.

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: Yes.

Remarks: Way too aggressively spreading for most garden situations but has a place in damp ditches and wetland restorations. Small flowers are powerfully fragrant.
