Growing Conditions: Sun. Ordinary well-drained garden soil. For berry production, best in soil that is not too dry, but the plant itself is very drought tolerant.

Wildlife benefits: Edible berries relished by many, including small children.

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: Yes.

Remarks: Spreads widely by runners. Functions well as a very attractive ground cover in orchards, meadows, and other wild situations but can be very frustrating as a ground cover near walks and patios. In those situations you might want to look at Barren Strawberry.
