Botanical Name: Carex eburnea

Height: about 5 cm

Season of bloom: Spring, not that it matters much

Growing Conditions: Shade. Found in the wild on thin soil over limestone. Suitable for shady rock gardens.

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: Yes

Remarks: Fine-textured, evergreen and slow-growing.
