Season of bloom: July to frost

Growing Conditions: Full sun. Lean, dry soil with excellent winter drainage; a south facing rock garden, for example.

Wildlife benefits: Visited by smaller bees

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: No. Plant grows in southern Illinois and points south; considered to be winter hardy in Zone 4 with good winter drainage.

Remarks: A succulent that thrives in heat.
