Growing Conditions: Full sun. Good, well-drained soil.

Wildlife benefits: Pollinated by hummingbirds.

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: No. From US mid-west.

Remarks: A late summer hummingbird flower for gardens which are too dry for Cardinal Flower. Our experience has been that the foliage of Royal Catchfly is like crack cocaine for groundhogs.
