Botanical Name: Amorpha fruticosa

Height: about 2 m

Season of bloom: early summer

Growing Conditions: Full sun. Lean soil. Adaptable. A leggy shrub with foliage and blossoms at the top. Can look sculptural and interesting.

Remarks: In theory, a dye plant with the same blue dye chemical as true tropical indigo, but much less concentrated. We have not yet tried to produce a dye.
