Growing Conditions: Best in full sun. Ordinary garden soil.

Wildlife benefits: Sturdy flowers are good nectar source for larger butterflies, like Monarchs and Great Spangled Fritillaries.

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: No. This species is widely planted in Butterfly Gardens and occasionally escapes from cultivation, but it is not native to Canada.
