Plant Availability for September 2024

There are several interesting plants for shade, including Barren Strawberry (Geum fragaroides although many will know it as Waldsteinia fragaroides), an evergreen ground cover with yellow flowers in the spring. Another lovely shade plant which could be used as a ground cover is Northern Beech Fern, a spreading deciduous fern, not tall, with a lovely tousled appearance. If you can make it to the Natives & Clay event on September 7th & 8th, you can see this fern, used as a small scale ground cover, in Lis Allison wonderful Fern Garden.

New additions to the Rock Garden list are Long-leaved Bluets, Arkansas Calamint, and Bird’s Foot Violet.

  1. I was excited to see your email in my inbox!

I am wondering, how do we order and pick up plants?

Is pick up at the show next weekend?

I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

    Sincerely,

    Sarah
