Growing Conditions: Prefers wet to moist soil and sun. Spreads by rhizomes. A very good choice for cottage shorelines

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: Yes.
Remarks: Spreads widely in moist conditions but not thickly, I.e. it consorts well with other robust shoreline species such as Blue Flag Iris and Swamp Milkweed. It is not a competitor in drier sites.
