We really need a better name for this garden, which is an extension of the rock outcrop that forms our rock garden The rock arches down to the edge of the driveway. I crammed a lot of shrubs around it a few years ago, hoping to screen the patio from the road eventually. Then the garden expanded, as gardens do for some reason — a strange phenomenon which occurs to gardens managed by plant fanatics worldwide. Science has no credible explanation…
